Infosys BPO Arm Appoints New CEO, CFO

Infosys Ltd appointed Anup Uppadhayay as the new chief executive officer (CEO) and Deepak Bhalla as new chief financial officer (CFO) of its Business Processing Outsourcing (BPO) subsidiary.
Uppadhayay was the global head of the parent company`s financial services business till recently and held various executive positions during his over two decades old service.

The new appointments to the BPO arm were made following the resignation of incumbent CEO Gautam Thakkar with effect from Nov 30 and sacking of incumbent CFO Abraham Mathews for not complying with its code of conduct.

The company hived off its BPO back office business into a subsidiary in 2002 to focus on integrated outsourcing and deliver transformational benefits to its global clients through reduced costs, productivity improvements and process re-engineering.

The subsidiary operates from 15 countries across Asia, Europe and the Americas, with 30,537 employees as of Sep 30.
