Suzlon Group has announced its plans to build 2000 MW new wind energy projects in Madhya Pradesh over the next five years. However, the company did not disclose the investments it would be making in the project. Suzlon has installed more than 50 per cent of the total wind capacity in the state.

''The MP government has an impressive track record of delivering 11 per cent all round economic growth in 2013-14, with a very impressive growth of 25 per cent in the agriculture sector, which is the highest in the world. This is indeed a testament of the state's progressive outlook and pro-industry policies that offer a conducive business environment,'' said Tulsi Tanti, Chairman, Suzlon Group.

''MP has not only emerged as one of the fastest growing states in the country but is a power surplus state as well, with close to 14000 MW installed capacity,'' he added.
